This 1907 1st edition consists of lectures delivered at the Palmer School of Chiropractic during January-March 1907. The lectures cover the embryo, nervous system, senses, sympathetic nervous system, reflex action, diseases and their causes, alimentary tract, urinary system and serous circulation.

This 1913 edition is actually a second edition and is a combination of the 1907 volume two and the 1908 Causes Localized, volume four. There is additional information on the sympathetic nervous system, reflex action, and serous circulation. New topics include physiology, cranial nerves, infantile paralysis, stones, hemorrhage, tumors, biology, the Meric System and equations.
