LGBTQIA+ for Healthcare Professionals: For LGBTQIA+ Community

Since 1986, The Project has served people living with HIV/AIDS with remarkable care and radical acceptance. We take a holistic approach to health care by treating the entire individual. Our services have grown tremendously to include a sexual health clinic, no-cost mental health services, LGBTQ+ health care, and more.

Clock, Inc provides a non-judgmental, safe & reliable community center for LGBT+ individuals, to reduce any feelings of discrimination or isolation.

At Visit Quad Cities, we believe in inclusiveness. There’s a large, active LBGTQ+ community whose community engagement is expressed through organizations like Clock, Inc., Quad Citians Affirming Diversity and QC Pride which puts on the annual Unity Pride Week each June. The Quad Cities is also listed in Pride Journeys 2021 LGBTQ Travel Directory.

Iowa Health Care's LGBTQ Clinic serves the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning community. Every member of our clinic staff has had LGBTQ-specific cultural humility training. This training, through the Safe Zone Project, is to make sure our clinic setting is welcoming and assuring for all our patients.

Queer Health Advocates are trained volunteers who accompany and advocate for members of the community who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, transgender, intersex, asexual, aromantic, queer, or questioning during medical appointments. Queer Health Advocates help their clients navigate the healthcare system and and get the care they deserve. All our services are free and confidential.
