Denise Ulett

Denise Ulett

Branch Manager Librarian, San Jose Campus

Denise Ulett is the Branch Manager Librarian for the Palmer West Campus. She has spent most of her career in special collections in public libraries, most recently as the Information Resource Manager over Consumer Health and Government Documents for the St. Charles City-County Library District, a suburban library system outside St. Louis, MO.  She has extensive experience in staff training and community liaison work and was the recipient of the 2011 Public Library/Public Health Partnership Award from the National Library of Medicine.  

Her current responsibilities include reference and instruction, publicity and marketing, collection management, and administrative duties for the PCCW library. 

Denise holds an MLS in Library Science and a B.A. in English from the University of Missouri, Columbia. She also earned her Yoga Teacher Certification in 2012 from the East-West School of Natural Healing.

She joined the Palmer team in January 2017.

Desiree Jaser

 Desiree Jaser

Library Assistant, Public Services

Desiree Jaser is the Library Assistant for the Palmer West Campus. She spent much of the last 10 years as a student in various colleges and universities and spent many hours using library resources to supplement her learning. She currently operates the circulation desk, and assists the branch manager with collections management and other administrative duties.

She is currently a graduate student at San Jose State University working towards earning a Master of Library and Information Science. She holds a BA in Anthropology from San Jose State University and a MSc in Human Osteology and Palaeopathology from the University of Bradford. Her dissertation was on the dietary patterns of a 16th and 17th century Irish cemetery using isotope analysis of rib and long bones.

She joined Palmer in August of 2019.
