What is a podcast?

Podcasting is the new "talk radio".. except the audience is worldwide. You,the listener, are also in control of when & how you listen to it.

You do not need to own an iPod to listen to a podcast. You can listen to podcasts on anything that plays MP3s.  This could be your computer, a portable mp3 player, or even your cellphone or tablet. Some podcasts are just audio like a radio broadcast, some are audio & video, and some are 'streamable', which means you do not need to download the podcast onto your computer, just listen to it.

If you see this icon, it means 'Subscribe here!" You can subscribe to podcasts feeds, which means your computer will automatically download the latest episode each time it is released.
