About Course Reserves

The purpose of this guide is to instruct the Palmer community on each campus about reserves -- the process, the various types of items, and the rules governing the use of these items.

It also will assist instructors on each campus on how our reserve process works.

Overview of In-House Reserves

Because of our three campuses and their different needs, this service guide will be divided into two catagories:

For Students

For Instructors

Follow the tabs above or these links to find information pertaining to your campus' needs.

For the purposes of the David D. Palmer Health Sciences Library, the items in this guide have atypical checkout rules from the rest of circulation. At the Davenport Campus, the majority of these items are located on the second floor of the Library. The required textbooks and reserve items are behind the desk, with a two-hour checkout, whereas the NBCE reference texts and study guides are located on the second floor, but in shelving behind the computer stations.
