This guide is for learning about evidence-based clinical practice (EBCP). It explains the concept of evidence-based medicine and gives search strategies for chiropractic students looking to integrate research evidence into their clinical practice.

Evidence-based clinical practice is based on the philosophy that considering the latest medical research will lead to the most effective treatment for a patient. Using an evidence-based approach requires that clinicians know how to search and review the current literature.
