How to borrow books?
Even though the Library has thousands of books, audiovisuals, and models, there are materials that we do not own in our collection. As a Palmer student, staff, or faculty, you have acces to 3.8 million titles in the state of Iowa. You can search SILO Locator to find material held by 700 public and academic libraries. If you cannot locate the requested title, search WorldCat to locate materials from libraries outside of Iowa.
Have a list of books?
Would you like to request multiple books, but don't want to fill out a request sheet for each one?
Just submit one formal request and e-mail the ILL desk with the rest of your citations!
What items can I request?
- Dissertations and theses
- Media items (films, music, and audio recordings)
- Other physical items (microform or slides)
Libraries generally do not lend rare books or manuscripts.
